Hubert Cunningham is a Certified Funeral Celebrant in Tennessee who comes from 40 years as a United Methodist Minister. Grief, loss, death, mourning, trauma or whatever it may be, DEAD Talks Podcast hopes to make it a little easier to talk about. You may cry; but, you also may laugh.

”It’s Me God” Candace Cheatwood
Friday Jun 04, 2021
Friday Jun 04, 2021
Only a senior in College at FSU, Candace Cheatwood, was blindsided when she learned her boyfriend was diagnosed with Testicular cancer. For two years he battled and she was right by his side caring for him til his last day. Image being in your last year of college and have to take on that responsibility. My last year of college the priority was not to have any morning classes so I didn’t go in hungover. I was impressed with her strength and decisiveness to let her feel her feelings and cope with the grief how she saw best for her. Join us on this journey of how one experience can change your perspective on life forever.

Today's guest shares three unique and entertaining stories about how death has impacted his life through the loss of three different people. He discusses his evolved belief system and how these deaths (or, haven't) effected those beliefs, a lucid dream experience where his grandfather came to him and we even jump into psychedelics. We had plenty of laughs through all of this despite plenty of deep conversations. In the second half of this episode Garrett shares a very personal traumatic event in his life that has nothing to do with death. Came as a big surprise and his explanation of healing and forgiveness is one we all could take note of.
